Membership

All UC staff and faculty are eligible and invited to join the UCSC Retirees Association. Click here for a link to your application.

Several social and informational events provide you with opportunities to get together with old friends and colleagues. Even if you move away from the Santa Cruz area, you can still stay abreast of UCSCRA news through our newsletter that is produced and mailed to all members four times a year. Members are also eligible to participate in wonderful international and domestic travel opportunities that are coordinated by the Retirees Association at UC Davis.

Participation in the Council of University of California Retirees Association (CUCRA) is an important component of your UC membership. CUCRA’s impressive group of officer advocates for retirees’ interests and concerns with the Office of the President. CUCRA meetings include representatives from all UC campuses and laboratory retiree groups. CUCRA officers take an active advocacy role on behalf of retirees and are especially vocal about health benefits and cost-of- living issues.
